A Shared Calendar for Your Running Club
Group runs, race dates, registration deadlines, social events — synced to every member's phone. No app to download. No email list to manage.
Create Your Club Calendar — FreeSound familiar?
It's 6:00 AM on Saturday. You moved the group run meetup from the coffee shop parking lot to the trailhead because of road construction. You posted it on the Facebook group at 9 PM last night. Five runners are standing in the coffee shop lot right now, wondering where everyone is. Two of them don't use Facebook.
Your club has a Tuesday evening tempo run, a Thursday morning easy run, and a Saturday long run. A new member joins in March and asks: "Where do I find the schedule?" You point them to the Facebook group, the pinned post, the Google Doc, or the email from January — none of which agree with each other because the Thursday location changed in February.
Race registration for the club's spring half marathon relay closes Friday. You sent a reminder email two weeks ago. Three runners miss the deadline because the email landed in their promotions tab. Now you're short a leg on the relay team and scrambling to find someone at the last minute.

Here's what running clubs typically put on their shared calendar:
What this looks like in practice
Club captain Sarah enters the spring schedule into iCalFeed on a Sunday afternoon. Tuesday tempo at 6:00 PM from the track at Elm Street Park. Thursday easy run at 6:30 AM from Blue Bottle Coffee. Saturday long run at 7:00 AM from the Lake Loop trailhead. She adds the spring race calendar — three 5Ks, a 10K, and the club relay in June. She posts the subscribe link in the club Slack. Setup: 15 minutes.
Greg joined the club last month. He opens his phone on Monday night to plan the week. Tuesday: Tempo Run, 6:00 PM, Elm Street Park track. Thursday: Easy Run, 6:30 AM, Blue Bottle Coffee parking lot. Saturday: Long Run, 7:00 AM, Lake Loop trailhead (12 miles this week per the description). Everything he needs is right there between his work calendar and his dinner plans. No Googling, no texting anyone.
Rain is coming Thursday morning. Sarah changes the meetup from the coffee shop to the covered pavilion at Riverside Park — better shelter if it pours. She updates the event in iCalFeed with the new location and a note: "Wear reflective gear, it'll be dark and wet." By Wednesday evening, every runner's phone shows the updated meetup spot. No group text. No one standing in the rain at the wrong place.
How iCalFeed compares
vs. Facebook group
Run details buried under race recap photos, shoe recommendations, and "Who's running Boston?" threads. New members can't find the schedule.
Each run is a clean calendar event with date, time, and location. No scrolling, no searching.
vs. Strava club
Great for logging miles after the run. Terrible for telling you where to meet before the run.
Meetup location and time show up in your phone calendar. Strava tracks the run after. Different jobs.
vs. Email list
Weekly emails with route descriptions, social updates, and race info all in one giant message. Important details buried in paragraph three.
Each run and event is its own calendar entry. Tap it, see the when and where.
vs. Pinned Google Doc
Updated in January. It's now April. The Thursday location changed twice and the doc still says the old one.
One source of truth. Update the event and every phone reflects the change.
