Sound familiar?

It's Saturday at 9:45 AM. Your 10:00 game is at the turf field at Westbrook Athletic Complex — not the grass field at Centennial Park where you played last week. You texted the location Wednesday but three families are at Centennial right now, helmets on, sticks in hand. Their kids miss the opening faceoff.

Spring lacrosse season overlaps with school testing, track season, and spring break. You've had to move practice three times already — from Tuesday to Thursday, back to Tuesday, now Wednesday temporarily. Even you had to check your own notes. Two families show up on the wrong night every time the day changes.

Your team enters a weekend tournament. Pool play is Saturday, brackets Sunday. The Saturday schedule comes out Thursday evening. You forward it to the team. One family is on a camping trip with no cell service. Another parent's email filters it to spam. Sunday morning, the bracket game is at 8:00 AM and two of your best players aren't there.

What this looks like in practice

Coach Jim enters the spring schedule into iCalFeed over a Sunday evening. Tuesday and Thursday practices at Meadowbrook turf field. Saturday games at various fields across the county — he adds each field's address. Two weekend tournaments go in with hotel deadlines noted in the event descriptions. He texts the subscribe link to 22 families. Total setup: 25 minutes for a three-month season.

Nicole has a son who plays U14 lacrosse and a daughter in travel soccer. She opens her phone Tuesday morning. Lacrosse practice: Tuesday 5:30 PM at Meadowbrook. Saturday: game at 1:00 PM at Valley Athletic Complex (arrive by 12:15 for warmups). Her daughter's soccer game is at 10:00 AM. No overlap. No double-booking. She can see it all because both schedules live in the same calendar app on her phone.

Wednesday night it storms. The turf field is fine but the parking lot at Meadowbrook is flooded. Coach Jim moves Thursday practice to Heritage Park's grass field and updates the event in iCalFeed. He adds a note: "Wear cleats, not turfs — grass will be soft." By Thursday morning, every family's phone shows the new field and the shoe reminder. Nobody drives to a flooded parking lot.

How iCalFeed compares

vs. Group texts

Field locations and game times mixed in with equipment questions and carpool coordination. The important stuff is impossible to find later.

Each game is a calendar event with the time, field, and details. Tap it and see everything.

vs. Team management apps

Lacrosse parents are already juggling four other sports apps for their other kids. Nobody wants another login and another notification stream.

No new app. Events appear in the calendar they already use. One less thing to manage.

vs. Coach's email with the season PDF

Sent in February. By April, three games have moved, two practices switched days, and the PDF is ancient history.

The calendar is always current. Changes sync to every phone automatically.

vs. League website

The schedule is there if you can find it. Three menus deep, sorted by division, in a table that doesn't work on your phone.

Your team's games are on your phone, sorted by date, with the right field and time. Simple.
